It takes an entire community to ignite a movement as revolutionary as Beyond Health. It’s through the generosity and commitment of the San Luis Obispo community at large that will allow French Hospital Medical Center (FHMC) to bring our vision of redefined health care to fruition on the Central Coast. Today, we’d like to put a spotlight on two incredibly dedicated members of the French family, Bob and Debbie Wacker.
Bob and Debbie have displayed their commitment to FHMC through not only their generous contributions, but also by the impressive number of hours spent as dedicated volunteers. Bob serves as the Co-Chair of the Beyond Health Campaign Cabinet and Debbie has volunteered in the hospital for more than 25 years, giving them both unique insights into the needs of patients.
Their recent substantial gift of $350,000 gift will help accommodate San Luis Obispo’s increasing demand for health care on the Central Coast, and bring amenities that the Wackers, among many others, value like single-patient rooms. This increased privacy will allow FHMC to provide our patients with high quality and individualized patient care.
“It’s important for us to be invested in our community hospital, to make sure that we all have great health care here locally, when we need it. We want the best care for our family, our friends and clients, and our wonderful community, and supporting French Hospital is our way of doing that,” said Bob Wacker.
We look to our entire community to join us in this effort to advance health care and bring San Luis Obispo County residents the care they deserve without having to travel outside of the area for critical care. And, while we’ve made a lot of progress, we’re not there yet. To see how you can get involved with the Beyond Health movement, visit gobeyondhealth.org.
